We build what we call grace fabric into every seam — extra allowance that lets your tailor expand the outfit by up to 2 inches, anywhere in the world, years from now. Because we believe your clothes should grow with your life, not against it.

What Is Grace Fabric?

Every outfit in The First Unlock has 2.5cm of additional seam allowance built into all side seams at the time of stitching. This is not visible, not decorative — it is structural. It means that any skilled local tailor, whether in Houston or Hyderabad, Dubai or London, can let out your outfit to give you up to 2 extra inches of room — without altering the design, the fall, or the integrity of the garment.

Why We Do This

Occasion wear is worn at moments that matter. Weddings. Celebrations. Events that carry weight. We believe you should be able to return to that outfit years later — after a pregnancy, after a move, after life — and have it still be yours. Not a memory. Not a garment you gave away. Yours.

Grace fabric is our founding promise. It is built into every outfit we ever make.

How to Use It

Take your outfit to any local tailor. Tell them the side seams have extra allowance built in. They will know what to do. No special instructions needed. It works the same way everywhere in the world.
